The Virtues of a Proverbs 31 Woman
Dolly had a knack for matching an outfit and accessories from head to toe. Though beautiful as a Spring Rose in appearance, her true BEAUTY was a genuine heart and willingness to serve others.
A woman of great wisdom, Dolly always made TIME for the things/people that were most important. Whether it was a family member, patient, or stranger.
Dolly’s INDUSTRIOUS nature allowed her to design the most gorgeous creations. She was a master seamstress and innovative crafter who was best known for her “Million Dollar Pound Cake” which was like none other.
HOMEMAKING was always a “Happy Place” for Dolly. She made sure that everyone’s needs were met before her own. She could turn a house into a home anywhere she was present.
As a dutiful First Lady, Dolly exhibited divine STEWARDSHIP with the members of her and her husband’s faithful congregation. There wasn’t a moment when she wasn’t available day or night to be a listening ear, provide sound guidance, or say a word of prayer.
Dolly’s professional career led her on a path of devout SEVICE to many. From serving as a Head Start teacher cultivating the minds of the future to comforting those in transition to their heavenly home as a hospice nurse.
If asked to describe Dolly in one word, many wouldn’t hesitate to say nurturing. She had a passion for ensuring that everyone was in perfect HEALTH and often put herself on the back burner to care for family, friends, patients, and anyone in need.
One of Dolly’s most proud accomplishments was that of being an amazing mother/grandmother/great-grandmother. Her MOTHERING spirit could brighten up the darkest of days and heal the most broken of hearts.
A faithful wife of 31 years, Dolly held the institution of MARRIAGE to the highest esteem. Throughout their lives together and even after his passing, her husband, Howard, was the love her life and apple of her eye.
Dolly fought a good fight, finished her course, and kept her FAITH. On Monday, November 9th, she received her crown of righteousness.
